(WENN) - Motown icon Lionel Richie finds himself in an unusual spot - he has the nation's top-selling country album with his duets project, Tuskegee.

It sold a whopping 199,000 copies in its first week out, according to the latest SoundScan figures. That's also enough to make it number-two overall, behind Madonna's MDNA.

Luke Bryan's Tailgates and Tanlines drops to number-two on the country chart, but still shows an increase in sales of 34 percent. Scotty McCreery's Clear as Day vaults 10 spots to number-three on the strength of a 172 percent increase. And Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party and Eric Church's Chief round out the Top 5.
