Cody Johnson expanded his ongoing “The Leather Tour” with nearly a dozen additional dates, he announced on Monday morning (April 22). The award-winning artist kicks off his headlining tour earlier this year with Justin Moore, Chris Janson and Dillon Carmichael.
New destinations include: Rapid City, South Dakota; Billings, Montana; Bossier City, Louisiana; Pryor, Oklahoma; Charlotte, North Carolina; St. Paul, Minnesota; Kansas City, Missouri; Arlington, Texas; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and State College, Pennsylvania.
Johnson’s tour is titled after his latest full-length studio album, Leather, which arrived in November 2023. The 12-track collection includes “Dirt Cheap,” “Whiskey Bent” featuring Jelly Roll, “Long Live Country Music” featuring Brooks & Dunn, and other highlights. The Texas-born singer-songwriter shared an update on the album’s deluxe edition during his performance at the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Though he didn’t confirm the release date at the time, Johnson aims to release the deluxe album this year. Leather follows Human The Double Album in 2021 and 2019’s Ain’t Nothin’ To It. Most recently, Johnson released his live rendition of “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys,” live from the 2023 ACM Awards.
